1. Planlessonsandteachstudentsaccordingtothecurriculumstandards;
2. Assessstudents'learningusingvalidandreliablemeasures;
3. Proactivelymanagetheclassroomwithpositivedisciplinetofacilitateandensureanenvironmentforlearning;
4. Buildpositiverelationshipswithstudentsbyconnectingwiththemasaperson;
5. Maintainpositiverelationshipswithparentsandparticipateinconferences;
6. Supportstudentswhofaceobstaclestolearning;
7. Enrichthecurriculumforstrongstudentsasnecessary;
8. Contributetocurriculumreviewanddevelopmentwithinthedepartment;
9. Createcomponentsofthecurriculumasnecessary;
10. Helptoorganizeandparticipateincurriculum-relatedschoolevents;
11. Teachanelectiveclass,leadastudentcluborofferatutorialduringtheco-curricularclassblocks;
12. Supportstudentlearningbycollaboratingwithotherstosupportfocusedprograms(e.g.,library,EAL,LearningSupport,Psychologicalcounselling,etc.);
13. Supportstudentlearningbycollaboratingwithotherteachersanddepartmentsoftheschool;
14. Promotecross-culturalunderstandingbyallmembersoftheschoolcommunity;
15. Occasionallycoverclassesforabsentcolleagues;
16. Participateinschool-wide,divisionalanddepartmentalmeetings;
17. Carryoutanyotherdutiesasmaybereasonablyrequestedbytheheadofdepartment,divisiondirectorsorprincipals.
