This position supports and guides students' academic and personal growth, while managing student-related programs and crisis resolution, and fostering career opportunities.
Duties and Responsibilities
Student Support & Engagement
1. Provide guidance and support to students in academic, personal, social matters, and career development.
2. Develop and implement programs that enhance student engagement and well-being.
3. Serve as a liaison between students, university administration and external partners, advocating for student needs.
Campus Life & Extracurricular Activities
1. Plan and coordinate student events, workshops, and leadership programs.
2. Support student organizations, clubs, and extracurricular activities.
3. Promote diversity, inclusion, and a sense of belonging among students.
Advising & Counseling
1. Offer mentorship and resources to help students navigate university life.
2. Assist students in overcoming academic, mental health, and career development challenges.
3. Provide referrals to university counseling, health services, and other support systems as needed.
Administrative & Policy Implementation
1. Enforce university policies related to student conduct, housing, and academic integrity.
2. Maintain accurate records of student interactions, incidents, and program outcomes.
Crisis Management & Conflict Resolution
1. Respond to student emergencies and provide appropriate support.
2. Mediate conflicts between students, faculty, or staff when necessary.
3. Assist in creating a safe and inclusive campus environment.
Career & Professional Development
1. Organize career fairs, workshops, and networking events.
2. Guide students on internships, job placements, and career planning.
3. Foster relationships with employers and alumni to create professional opportunities for students.
Job Requirements
1. Bachelor's degree or above in Education, Business Administration, Psychology, or related fields.
2. Minimum of three years of relative work experience, with preference given to those with relevant experience in higher education, counseling, or student support.
3. Excellent organizational, communication, problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students.
5. Passionate about education, student success, and wellbeing.
6. Ability to coordinate and manage various tasks and initiatives.
7. Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is required.
