Task Description :
The EHS Officer is responsible for:
A. Safety & Health-related functions:
Responsible for planning, implementing and enforcing SAFETY policies and procedures.
o Create, review and update SAFETY related policies, procedures and golden rules.
o Prepare, review and update Hazard & Risk Register for all current activities.
o Organize the conduct of regular safety risk analysis.
o Identify new hazard/risk and report to CUSTOMER’s SAFETY focal point in hazard risk assessment.
o Arrange SAFETY-related trainings/awareness to all employees and act as the trainer.
o Perform weekly SAFETY surveillance of controlled work areas (i.e. office, toolshop, stock room), identify non-conformances and subsequent action plan/s and report to CUSTOMER’s SAFETY focal point.
o Arrange regular SAFETY review meetings with CUSTOMER’s SAFETY focal point of each activity.
§ Responsible for the Safety Reporting;
o Ensure timely reporting of accidents, incidents, near-miss or other safety-related concerns.
o Ensure timely reporting to customer of any accidents, incidents, near-miss or other safety-related concerns.
o Prepare periodic KPI Reporting of Safety Incidents Rate.
o Coordinate with concerned personnel on the immediate conduct of investigation and identification of appropriate action plan.
o Create Flash Alert for incidents and conduct awareness training for all concerned personnel.
A. Environmental & OSH-related functions:
§ Responsible for maintaining ISO 14001 & 45001 approvals by ensuring compliance to ISO requirements and applicable safety regulations ;
o Spearhead implementation of mandatory processes and procedures as documented in the Environmental Management System and OSH Management System.
o Conduct planned periodic audits required in ISO 14001 & 45001 implementation .
o Act as main focal point during external EMS & OHS audits and provide support to other stakeholders during the audit activity.
o Perform weekly surveillance on EMS & OHS topics at controlled work areas (i.e. office, toolshop, stock room), identify non-conformances and subsequent action plan/s and report to CUSTOMER’s environmental & OHS focal point.
o Preside regular EMS & OHS review meetings with all Tianjin stakeholders per activity.
o Attend regular EMS & OHS review meetings with CUSTOMER’s SAFETY focal point of each activity.
o Arrange Environmental/OHS-related trainings/awareness to all employees and act as the trainer.
B. Other/Administrative functions:
o Conduct second-party audit on suppliers/vendors of PPE and safety-related products.
o Validate all requests for purchase of PPE and safety-related products.
o Maintain list of approved/accredited suppliers/vendors of PPE and safety-related products.
o Maintain list of approved PPEs and safety-related products.
Qualifications &Requirements:
With Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Management or Engineering or related discipline;
With at least 3 years experience in S&E function;
Good command of English.
