MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Store Planning &Construction Manager is responsible for re-define a new retail concept and construction strategy in China store. The goal of this role is to improve store image according to company transformation target, which can further help to drive higher revenue and maximize space productivity in Stores.
1. Lead and transit of new concepts to improve Retail Concept and Creativity to align with company transformation strategy; Responsible for the overall project/construction/design management for retail stores.
2. Liaising and collaborating with government authorities, landlords as well as internal departments to ensure smooth project completion and in accordance with the corporate store layout design standard. Manage and oversee construction budget, timeline, vendor, report, ensure these are effectively planned and forecasted.
3. Lead and motivate Store Planning team to drive higher GM $ and maximize space productivity in Stores.
4. Ensure that the brand’s new elements and look & feel are reflected in retail store expression.
5. Develop and optimize theme programs for key selling periods.
6. Develop, optimize and communicate store planning strategies and new fixture designs to promote Toys”R”Us and Babies”R”Us brand in-store.
7. Partner with Merchandising and Store Operation team to ensure floor plan for new stores and relay out for old stores support merchandising strategy.
8. Re-designed implement a consistent, creative and world class brand image instore with new merchandising techniques.
9. Ensure store planning team maintains accuracy in all information in accordance with company standards.
10. Strive to maintain a positive and collaborative culture and Mentor place to work within the wider team as captured in Staff Engagement Survey
11. Provide feedback, coaching and development for team to ensure quality standards are upheld.
12. Work closely with construction team to support store opening strategy and open stores on time at the best cost.
13. Ensure internal and cross-functional alignment to support business goals.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
1. Bachelor’s degree or above. More than 10 years store planning working experience in retail/FMCG. Visual merchandising experience will be a plus.
2. Strong oral and written communication in English.
3. Love to face the challenges and creative on solution.
4. Well experienced of China Retail environment, especially on new brand development.
5. Self-motivated; ability to strategically tackle initiatives to complete tasks quickly and independently.
6. Ability to multi-task and work independently to drive the business to achieve sales targets.
7. Able to adapt to a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
8. Be good at brining the creative ideas of team to market.
9. Strong sense of urgency and attention to detail.
