Objective of job

· Manage all supplier-related activities with product group and technology expertise in commodity.

· Leading the further development of the supplier base with regard to the Zero Defect Strategy from the beginning of the project phase to the end of the vehicle project

· Ensure a high delivery quality for the scope of the purchase parts within the commodity and the supplier in its own area of responsibility.

Principle activities

· Act as internal and external contact person within his/her own area of expertise; cooperate in internal working groups

· Create internal publications (e.g. documentation, etc.) and present as required (internally)

· Recognize general need for continuing education in his/her own field within the company; plan and conduct internal and external training on complex topics, both domestically and in other countries

· Support in determining and optimizing internal standards and processes within his/her own area of expertise (e.g. adapt and newly develop product group- or technology-specific methods, etc.)

· Observe/identify trends in his/her area of expertise in order to develop concepts; suggest recommendations for action

· Conduct mainly conceptual activities within his/her area of expertise

· Further development of specific experiences and knowledge within a commodity with regard to quality, logistics and equipment management

· Support strategic supplier selection processes by initial supplier visits and supplier evaluations from a logistical and quality or equipment standpoint as a basis for sourcing processes and cooperate in the sourcing process

· Manage supplier audits, process inspections, action definitions, action follow-ups

· Manage supplier development programs, define target systems and multi-step plans with the suppliers, and observe supplier development based on the agreed goals

· Manage launch readiness reviews on-site including follow-up measures, up to transfer to series production

· Manage supplier insolvencies, create equipment inventory lists, check ownership issues and create certifications, build up safety inventories

· Support design activities, taking into account special internal and external requirements and define internal standards

· Manage suppliers PPAP and process approvals in comparison with internal and external customer requirements as well as documentation in relevant DRX systems (e.B. Host, QSYS, Scan View, PLM, SLC, SAP, etc.)

· Manage all matters relevant for the department in quality initiatives and customer audits (internal and external) and in drawing up and expanding supplier agreements and contracts with regard to quality and logistics agreements or equipment agreements

· Create and evaluate supplier achievement; create trend analyses and develop actions for recognized issues

· Support complaint management in escalations

· Assure problem elimination activities with suppliers

· Assure containments, cause analyses, developing and implementing permanent remedial actions

· Consistent further development of the product and process maturity of buy parts

· Leading the continuous development of the supplier base of the commodity finished lines (e.g. Quality with regard to the zero error strategy

· Timely implementation of the quality planning process to the supplier

· Ensure the implementation of necessary corrective measures including top topics (escalations) in the event of deviations from delivery agreements during prototype, pre-series and series phases

· Takeover of key user function, special tasks and special projects

Job requirements

• Bachelor or above
• Supplier Quality Engineer with subject-specific knowledge of technologies within the commodity
• IATF16949, VDA6.3 certificate is preferred
• Over 8 years experiences in manufacturing industries including more than 3 years experiences in Quality Management, or Quality Technique, or QM System
